Eligibility
  • Knowledge of Traffic Rules and Regulations: You must be familiar with traffic rules, road signs, and safe driving practices.
  • Physical Fitness: You need to meet certain medical standards, including vision and hearing requirements.
Requirement
  • Age Proof: Birth certificate, school leaving certificate, passport, etc.
  • Address Proof: Aadhaar card, utility bills, passport, etc.
  • Identity Proof: Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card, etc.
  • Photographs: Passport-size photographs.
Process to Apply for a Driving Licence
  • Learner's Licence:
    • Apply online or offline at the RTO.
    • Pay the required fees.
    • Take a written test on traffic rules.
    • If you pass, you'll get a learner's licence, valid for a specific period (usually 6 months).
  • Driving Test:
    • After the learner's licence period, you can schedule a driving test.
    • Take the test at the RTO.
  • Permanent Driving Licence:
    • If you pass the driving test, you'll receive your permanent driving licence.
